How to find Menu Role of a Query

Hi Experts,

I have a query & I would like to find the Menu Role in which it is.

Also i would like to know,whether a query is used in WAD or not?

Any information on this is appreciated.

Hi ,

Thanks for your reply.But the metadata repository gives the roles existing in the system. I am trying to find 'query is in which Menu role.' Hope i have explained my doubt clearly.

Ganesh,

The BW Metadata Repository can answer your question.

Just choose "Query" then scroll through the alphabetical list and click on the query of interest. It will show you all kinds of information about that query, including which roles contain that query.

Hi Ganesh,

You are finding role in which your query is present. for that there is one standard table present in which you can find out the role name.

Table agr_1251 here you provide the value of query in S_rs_comp out put gives you the roles name in which your qery present.

please try this.

Hi Ganesha,

if I got you right, then RSA1 --> Metadata Repository should be your friend.

It provides information about the usage of queries in other BW-elements (like roles and templates).

Only with frontend-tools (=BEx-Analyzer) you won't have a chance to find the requested information.
