Question on unicode nametab on source system

Dears ,

doing the unicode conversion during the final preparation steps we are asked to create the unicode nametab on the source system not unicode..

I always did this action with no user logged on, also the Sap guide do not says anything about that.

In you opinion is possible to use in production operation a Non unicode system where final preparation steps have been performed (and so the unicode nametab have been created ) ?
