RTC: Elimination and Adjustment rules posts wrong entries in successive periods

Hi team,

We are implementing Real Time Consolidation on S4 HANA on premise 1610 Release stack 02(05/2017) FP.

We perform Intercompany elimination with 100% offset. We ran elimination for period 2020002 and the elimination results are good:

In this 1st row is the elimination result in the same account.

2nd result is entry in offset account.

3rd row is the original record for FEB 2020.

This elimination is as per the expectation.

Now we run the elimination for MAR 2020 in which there is no uploaded record for account(0010210002) as in the above snapshot.

The elimination results for MAR 2020 are as below:

In the above we see that for the same account(00102210002) I see an entry for period 2020003 ( 2020 MAR). This result is not as per the expectation. We had uploaded the records against the account 00102210002 only in FEB 2020 and so I should only see elimination entry for FEB 2020. When I run elimination for MAR 2020, It posts somehow for previous period as well against this account.

I am not performing any Balance carry forward.

I just uploaded the records in Feb and in Mar 2020.

Why should the elimination entry of Feb be posted in Mar after running elimination in Mar? How will the user understand this entry.

For business, it should be periodic elimination.

Hi Shubham,

In that link specifies the "copy opening" that is performed automatically in the elimination.

"An automatic ‘copy opening’ for data in AuditID (Datasource type) of type ‘A’ will be executed during consolidation run (either through a BPC data manager package or through the consolidation monitor)."
