Automatic Characteristic valuation during result recording

Hi all,

Please help me to resolve this issue,

I am using material specification & inspection plan for the result recording purpose and my MIC's are linked with characteristic.

When i am using material specification for result recording i am able to valuate the characteristic automatically.but when i am using the inspection plan for result recording, the characteristics not get valuated automatically.

I am using same sampling procedure for inspection plan as used for mateerial specification where its valuating the characteristic automatically.

I want to valuate the characteristic automatically for Inspection plan also.

Hi

Is your MIC's in the task list are "Optional char"??

What you can do is use same MIC & same sampling prcedure in both & check.

If it works same then problem is with the MIC's in the task list

Thanks for qucik reply,

I will explain the all the scenario,

We are having MIC's linked with characteristics so all the MIC's are reference.

For all MIC we have the setting of sampling procedure & required characteristic, so characteristics are not Optional.

For some materials i using material specification for result recording & for that i am getting automatic valuation.

Now i am using the same MIC's for inspection plan only difference is that the upper limits & lower limits are different so while using these MIC's in the inspection plan i am changing these limits only and other setting are as it is like sampling procedure required characteristic also i am using same sampling procedure which i am using for material specification but still i am not able to valute the characteristic the automatically which i can for material specification.

In all the difference for the MIC is that i am changing the limits only for Inspection plan all other things are as it is

Please check in REsults Recording Tab in Plant Level Settings...there you need to select Automatic Close option...
