Good morning,
a security problem in Hana Studio (version 2.3.23) is encountered.
Using the SYSTEM user, a custom (restricted) user was created with a custom role as well. This role contains (in the Object Privileges tab) all calculation views that we make available to IBM Cognos TM1.
The contents of the Security tabs of the custom role are the following:
- Granted Roles: <blank>
- Part of Roles: <blank>
- System Privileges: <blank>
- Object Privileges: All the calculation view (cube and dimension) that IBM TM1 Cognos can query
- Analytic Privileges: _SYS_BI_CP_ALL (_SYS_REPO as Grantor)
- Package Privileges: <blank>
- Application Privileges: <blank>
- Privileges on User: <blank>
The contents of the Security tabs of the custom user are the following:
- Granted Roles: RESTRICTED_USER_ODBC_ACCESS, custom_role
- System Privileges: <blank>
- Object Privileges: <blank>
- Analytic Privileges: <blank>
- Package Privileges: <blank>
- Application Privileges: <blank>
- Privileges on User: <blank>
Occasionally during the normal workflow of Cognos, some objects in the Object Privileges tab disappear and I have to reinsert them. No one is working on calculation view (in Hana Studio in general) in those moments. Objects may disappear after minutes or after months.
Sometimes, even if the object is actually in Object Privileges tab, IBM TM1 Cognos cannot query it. The object must be removed and reinserted in the list.
Unfortunately, this problem is not predictable.
Has this already happened to anyone? Please help me.
