M7668 for plant specific

Dear Experts,

I want to change message M7668 "Batch xxxx has already been posted in stock" in error - plant specific. Means Duplicate batch not allowed in only require plant. how can It is possible?

Hi,

In the Transaction code OMCQ you can change the Message status.

Search for the M7 668 in the OMCQ and change the status of the message from W to E

Path: IMG->MATERIAL MANAGEMENT> INVENTORY MANAGEMENT & PHYSICAL INVENTORY--->DEFINE ATTRIBUTES FOR SYSTEM MESSAGES.

message attributes cannot be set at plant level.

But you can personalize the message attributes, maybe this can help you in process.

Precondition: one user does no post for both plants.

if that is not the case, then you can create a new version for your message.

you make the general version a warning and the new version an error.

then you assign this version to the users of the plant that shall receive an error.

this is done by entering the parameter MSV to their user parameters (can be done in SU01), the parmater value is the new version number.

I do su01 process but It is showing warning message of m7668 ,not my new verision message,any other changing require .

I had locked off and in parameter id I put msv and parameter value I put message no. but in migo it is showing warning.
