Hi dear all ,

at basic data and setting at plant level , how the assignment of version to MIS and inspection method takes place (what it happens in backgrnd)

Are you talking about the QCC0-->basic setting >plant level>Insp. Characteristics Are Maintained with History

same with Inspection method.

Then

If you set this indicator, all released versions for the inspection characteristics are stored. If you access a released version using the function "Change inspection characteristic", the system creates a new version.

That means every time you go through T code QS22 or QS32 ,syetm will create a new version for the MIC or method.

As For each version, there is a date from which the data record is valid ( valid-from date). Several versions can be valid for the same key date.that means if You use the function "Create version". You must specify a date from which the version is valid. This date must not be used in another version of the data record.

Also You use the function "Change". You can choose and change a valid version for a key date.
