We have installed SAP CPS for NW7.0 SP19 & Schedule job for External Server (Non-SAP). It's working fine.

Now we need to configure email based on status of job. I mean if particular job gots failed then email alert should go to respective person.

How this can be achieve in SAP CPS.

Hello,

You can use the active monitoring module to create rules for which jobs in which status it should be escalated to whom and specify the complete escalation scenario (including time outs, operation shifts, etc).

For simple monitoring you can add raise events on jobs on an error status that kick of an email job. Or you can add a final step in your job chain to handle jobs in error, ie send an email.

Hello Gerben,

We are also running SAP CPS for handling the batch jobs. We have recently purchased the alerting module license (Module.Alerting) from Redwood.

As you mentioned above, Can you please let me know the step by step procedure of how to use this alerting module to create rules when job status change, and specify the complete escalation scenario.

Can you please refer a guide or link where I can find this information.

Also, can you please let me know the procedure to add raise events on jobs on an error status which kick of an email job for simple monitoring.

I did ask this question earlier, but got a response to achieve this from BPM or through Job Scheduling management in Solution manager. But we are looking out for a solution using the options available in SAP CPS.

Thanks so much in Advance,

Regards,

Mohammad
