When importing items through the import from excel functionality, the Manufacturer and Item group fields can be imported using the table name or description instead of the table code, if the name is not on the table (OITB, OMRC) then SB1 will create it automatically and import the master data with the new code.
Is there a way to achieve this with a udf linked to a udt?. Can I create the udt or udo in a way that I can automatically add a record if it doesn't exists through the import from excel functionality.
Im trying to avoid making the user use DTW to import the records first, then using a vlookup in excel to fill the template with the udf codes.
