Delay compensation: scehdule versus actual for an activity.

Hi Experts

I wish to know the best practice w.r.t. monitoring the project execution.

Example: An activity is partially completed but it is understood that the activity needs more days to complete. In this case, the forecast duration can be specified. What will be impact of forecast duration in this scenario. Will it extend the schedule of subsequent activities or it will ?

What would the best way to compensate the lagging if an activity is noticed that it is runaway from schedule.

warm regards

Yes the forecast duration will be considered in determining the scheduled dates during next schedule run.

If you had worked in a project based organization or worked in a project execution team, you would be knowing the answer for this question.
