Can somebody please provide me the steps to setup a new SLD ? and how to integrate other boxes there ?
Appreciate if somebody please mention the major points that should be followed. (not a hyperlink)
Regards
Hi Mike
All the relevant information should be available at
SLD is usually installed automatically during J2EE installation - although there may be options to
install a local SLD during sapinst - watch out for these - if you are installing a central SLD
on say a Solution Manager J2EE - this means you need to select local SLD installation during the
Solution Manager J2EE sapinst routine
If you are planning migration or integration between multiple SLDs this is less easy to - best to check the SLD Planning Guide
availalbe at above link regarding sync options
Hope this helps

Hi Mike,
I presume you have already installed alest SLD system.
If YES, then you need to register all your other SAP, non-SAP systems with SLD.
For SAP Systems ABAP
-Use RZ70 transaction to deploy the both technical systems (SLD treats every system as Technical and Business System)
- ensure you enter SLD hostname details before you execute.
For SAP Java Systems
Logon your PI system NWA
-Choose Configuration Management -> Infrastructure
- Click on 'Destinations'
- click on 'SLD Client" -> Under Destination Details ->Specify your SLD system URL http://<full host name>:<http port> for Connection and target & For logon Data -><SLDUSER> and Password and Authentication -> select 'Basic (User ID and Password)'
- Save & perform 'Ping Destination' to check the connectivity
- Then click on "SLD_DataSupplier" under Destination
- Specify the Connection & Transport URL - http://<full host name>:<http port> of SLD (same as above)
- And also provide logon data same as above
-- Save & perform 'Ping Destination' to check the connectivity
- Then clicon SLD Data Supplier and cross verify if URL set correct; Automatic Send set to 'true' and Success is 'true'
-Probaly you click on 'Collect and Send data' for first time and wait for system update to the status.
I hope this helps you. And if you need any further help please write to me back.

Sekhar

Hi Mike,
If you have Service Market place login then you can download SLD setup documents from Service.sap.com.
SAP systems register automatically in SLD ,if not use RZ70 transaction to register SAP System.
But you need to create other systems from Product,S/W Component,TS,BS and dependacies if its required required.
some good blogs available in snd search it..

Raj
