Dear all,

During modifications in smartform I have to add 2 more columns in the main window ,which already consists of 6 columns ,whether it is possible to alter the column width (as: 1 cm , 2 cm , 07 cm , 2.75 cm ,2.33 cm,and 3.06 cm as of total 18 cm ) to add new columns in the window ?

how can i alter the third column of 7 cm width to 3 columns of 2.5cm,2.5cm,2 cm column ?

is it possible by using templetes or could be done by the alteration way ?

First of all, you better copy to Z smartform and change it. if you have already modified the standard....

Just change the 3rd column to 2.5CM and add more columns for the remaining space. You can do it if the field value is not too big but make sure it doesnt give you dump by assigning different values.

Hi Swapnil,

What do you mean by, it is not allowing to insert new columns. Are you trying to insert columns for table or template? Can you let us know the reason for reducing the width of the table in the window?

Hi,

You are not suppose to decrease the width of the table but try to keep the to arrange the existing clounms so that u can insert more columns. And also try to increase the window width, then the table width this will allow you to create more room for new cloumns

Double Click on the Main Window>Output option> Increase the width

> Table in the window>Table tab--> Using the pencil draw the new clounms or use the Details push button that will open the new screen wher you can click on the >> button that will show more colunms

It is same with the Template also..Template tabe --> Details

Hi,

Double click on the table name that you have created. You would get a grid.In that grid draw extra columns with the pencil option.

This should solve your purpose.

If you are using templates, double click on the template - go to details - then you can add more columns by press right arrow key on top of the table

if you are in table

double click on the table - Go to details - you should see a table type box and then - you can also see the right arrow key on top of the table. Just press it and you can insert as many columns as you want by clicking this button.

Let me know if you cannot do it
