Keyfigure issue

I have a Global calculated key figure and a local formula, both defined same.

But when i compare the results of these 2 keyfigures in query, Overall result rows

are different. Individual rows and Result rows data is fine. Formulas overall result is correct, but Global kefigures not!

I have the same properties for both off them.

Hi,

Creating the same formula for global and local, the system will give you a Garbage value.

Try deleting the Global one and use the local formula. because doing the query run time the system internally creats N numner of joints for executing each row. and obviously the result differs if you use both.

in your point make sure that you define only local formula

Why should I use only Local Formula! Cant I use Global Keyfigure alone and deleting teh local formula! If I use Global Keyfigure alone, Im not seeing the correct overall result and its showing the same overall result as before (having both formula nd Global keyfigure).

But if i use local formula with or without global keyfigure in the query, im getting the correct overall result row.

Hi Madhu,

Keep the "Calculate Result as" property for both local formula and claculated key-figure same i.e. say before aggregasion.

Im in BI7 and I dont see B4 Aggregation option

Hello,

Check whether both have same exception aggregation set in the properties.

Also check that they both have calculate result as and calculate single value as the same type.
