Hi Experts,
Are any versions of SAP Business One supported running under Windows 7?
Thanks

SAP hasn't officially listed windows 7 in the portal yet .I think some users have already tested window7 on Business One and it is working fine .Some of the issues are also reported in forum like slow after upfgrade 7 ..
you can look one of the article from SAP vendors

Hey Folks,
Thanks so much for this. I resolved the install error on Windows 7 by running the autorun as administrator using right click.

Hi,
Until today, there is still no official info from SAP AG either in the platform link (http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/platforms)
or in the update product link (https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700007392752004E).
I've just downloaded the SAP B1 SP 01 PL 09 and checked the info (what's new notes about the new PL09). There is no note give info whether windows 7 is able to run SAP B1 or not.
My colleague has tried to run B1 2007A SP 01 PL 8 in windows 7 using temporary license but when he want to update the new temporary license, he failed.
Rgds,
JimM

O.K. I answered my own question, but thought others would want to know as well. The key is to right click on the setup/autorun icon and run as adminstrator even if you are an Administrator on the local computer.

The problem appears to be with compatibility between the Intallation Process and Windows 7. For those who got it working, how did you install. What was the secret? I am trying to install 8.8 PL5 clean. I get an error message 1628: Failed to complete installation from Install Shield.

Hi! by some work-around the client / server all are working fine. But has lots of issues with the installation and up-gradation with Win 7, and till date SAP has only planned for the related support / updates.
Please check the supported platform matrix in the following link -
