MC.7 Inventory Turnover report, and configuring the movement types it uses to calculate

Former Member

Hello, all,

I am trying to solve an issue for one of my users. He is telling me that the Inventory Turnover numbers hs is seeing in MC.7 are not accurate because they transfer materials to capital jobs, and those transfer types are not being "counted" in the Turnover calculation in MC.7.

Where do I find, and how do I configure, the movement types that MC.7, and the other Turnover reports, use to calculate the turnover value? I understand about table T156, and Consumption Posting G and R. Is that the full list of movement types that the Inventory Turnover uses?

Thanks in advance,

Jurgen,

Sorry for that. here is the full screen capture that I used:

Ju

Here is the selection screen for SE16N (cropped for space):

And here is the MC.7 report for those materials for the same period:

I am not familiar with the report, so I can't say whether the report matches what is in the tables.

Jurgen,

Here is a selection of the materials from MSEG:

And here are the same materials from S031:

Please let me know if there are specific fields in S031 you'd like to see.

Thank you again!

I can see that all movements from MSEG are captured in S031.

Can you tell the column names of the last 7 columns, could make it easier.

Is it possible to explain based on MC.7 result why he thinks that these movements are not included?

Jurgen,

Thank you for the reply.

No, there are no values in SOBKZ or KZBWS. My user gave me a list of doc numbers. Here are some selected fields from MSEG:

This one really has me stumped.

Can you match those values with table S031? (MC.7 analysis is done on structure S039. which is compiled during runtime based on values in table S031 and S032)

Is this special stock like project stock ?

What values do you see in table MSEG

fields:

MSEG-SOBKZ = Special Stock Indicator

MSEG-KZBWS = Indicator: Special Stock Valuation

for the movements that are not considered?

I just heard back from the user on this:

"Movements by transfer in and out of Capital Jobs are recorded by 261 or 262.

A PO to a CJ is 101 however a PO to inventory is also 101"

My question now is, since all three of these types are Consumption Code "R", why would these movements not be captured by MC.7?

Thanks,
Steve

Usually you don't need to customize anything special, reports and movement types come preconfigured.

What movement type do you use for this transfer?
