Hi
where will we set QoS for idoc adapter because it is mentioned that idoc adapter can support EO and EOIO but we dont create sender channel for idoc adapter but how will we control QoS for idoc adapter

For sender side if you have to control, you can go for "Maintain service at run time " in interface determination.

Hello Santsh,
where we maintain the quality of service as (BE.EOIO or EO) in XI ?
I mean , where can we control quality of service in XI.

Hi Shiv - BE is not possible.
If you are on 7.3 and above then in both sender and receiver channel you have an option to select(IDOC_AAE)
In the sender channel -> EOIO enabled checkbox
In the receiver channel -> Queue processing(EOIO)
Other than this there is one more place you need to check is the interface determination(receiver interface tab incase of ICO)
checkbox for maintain order at runtime.
Hello Harish,
does it mean that, check box in interface determination is to specify quality of service?
As per my understanding, we need to click this check box, when we configure multiple inbound interface to an outbound interface (based on some condition ) or vice a versa to maintain the interface order.
please correct me , if i am wrong.

Hi shivguru ,
where will we set QoS for idoc adapter because it is mentioned that idoc adapter can support EO and EOIO but we dont create sender channel for idoc adapter but how will we control QoS for idoc adapter .
---> we can mention it at receiver side Idoc Adapter ..By default the quality of service is EO/EOIO for Idoc .
By QoS EO/EOIO author means to say that we cannot go for BE with Idocs but we can make it EO/EOIO .
Once Idoc triggered from R/3 and passes the ALE layer of ECC, XI has to accept it because triggering is happening outside XI but after that control is with XI so at receiver side we can specify QoS .
In other cases adapter resides in XI(Java stack).so control is with XI only .
Hope you got my point ...

Hi I guess.. Quality of service should be taken into consideration in R3 while sending IDOCs to XI.
Thanks,
Subbu
