This problem has always existed in our environments. We are using NTLM SNC to integrate SAP BW and Business Objects with Active Directory security. In between AD Alias updates, if a user logs into a client Business Objects tool (i.e. Universe Designer) with a bad password the service account running the SIA and Tomcat services gets locked out in Active Directory.
Have a user created that has Windows Active Directory Authentication.Have that user log into universe designer with valid credentials and then log into Infoview. This should work as expected.
Outside of a scheduled AD alias update, have that same user change their Active Directory password.
Have that user log into universe designer with the changed credentials and then log into Infoview. The result should be that the Active Directory Plug-In is not available. The service account will now be locked out when the account's properties are viewed in the Active Directory tool.
Please help in resolving this issue.
