GRANTS payment is periods

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to pay grants in periods to the student.

For example the grant is for example 6000 euro and i want that the student gets paid in 3 periods so:

01-01-2010 2000 euro

01-03-2010 2000 euro

01-05-2010 2000 euro

Can this be done automaticly according to the type grant?

Thanks a lot!

Greetings

    Dear Molenaar,

I am not sure but it can be done by using rule-based account assignment distribution in Grantee Management, you need to set up the rules that will govern the distribution.

Please check the following text from help file which might be useful for you.

    On the Distributions tab:

    Distribution method

    Possible entries here are:

    EQVL

    Equivalent values

    FIXD

    Fixed amount

    PERC

    Percentage

    ■ Percentage

If you select distribution method PERC, enter the relevant percentage values for each line in this column.

    ■ Currency

    ■ Amount

If you select distribution method FIXD, enter the relevant amounts for each line in this column.

    ■ Event if Used

    ■ Event Not Used

    ■ Final Distribution

If this box is checked, assignments created from this account assignment distribution are not subject to any further splitting.

Hope it will clear your doubts.

    Warm Regards

    Vinod Kumar

    Hello Lukas:

You may wish to consider using a Standing Request - Transaction FKKORD2 - Edit Standing Request. The Menu Path from the Easy Access Menu is: Student Accounting >Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable >Posting >Request >FKKORD2 - Edit Standing Request.

With this Transaction you can set up periodic payments to students. You may possibly have to do some customer enhancementsto accodomate rules connected with the Grant. This would depend on the customer's requirements.

Also, see a similar question on Page 40 of the Student Accounting FAQ, entitled "How do I pay Grants monthly"?

    Regards,

    Patricia
