1. Ask your E-mail adimistrator (Exchange server?) for the mailserver name ( fully qualified domain name)

2. Tell him/them to allow your SAP servers IP(or group of IPs) to accept e-mails from your servers ( SMTP sender)

3. In SAP --> SCOT -->

click on SMTP Click o Node in use.

4. Mail host: In that box give the name of mailserver name given by E-mail admin and any post no if mentioned.

5. Click on "Set" corresponding to internet --> in address area, type in "*" ( which means send e-mails to any domain, yahoo gmail or any, but be care full. Test e-mails can be sent to customers., so on test servers only mention your company domain name.

6. Once e-mail is sent from So01 from SAP, go to SCOT again and click on start send process! . Once tested fine. Automate sending process by clicking Job and scheduling.

Hope it is clear.

That should be enough...I think the default value is to run every 10 mins ?

How many have you "waiting in transit"

Hi,

Have you got your SAP systems IP address registered on your outgoing Mail server ?

This message is because your internet mail server does ot know about the SAP systems.

Hi,

Before starting the configuration of SMTP in SAP.

Check whether port is open from sap server to SMTP server.

As we as check whether Sap is populated as SMTP relay agent on SMTP server.

Thanks

Hi,

Make sure you have all SAP systems in your environment E.G. CI+Apps registered on your SMTP server for sending mails out accross the internet.

Or you will see errors in the "overview of send orders" relay error 555.
