One time customer

Hi

My client has maintained account group for two sales organization.. but my question is if i get a customer who wants to do cash sales transaction and is not listed in my customer master,, in this scenario do i've to create a new account group as one time customer in short what is the effect of one time account group in the SD

Hi,

In SAP itself there is one time customer, you can create with the help of that either you can create new account group as ONE TIME CUSTOMER and need to assign required GL A/C for which u can take help of ur FI Consultant.

Hi

One time customers are generally used for walk-in customers or when you do not expect a repeat purchase. In SAP, the system will ask for a change of address everytime you enter a sales order for this customer. This means that this customer can be used for any/all walk in customers doing a cash transaction with you and who are not expected to do a repeat purchase.

In my view, you may firstly test whether the existing account group meets cash sales business requirements, i.e. create cash payment customer by using the existing account group, then use the customer to go through the business scenario.

If it does not work, you may consider other solutions.

In SD, one time cutomer simply means different customers use the same customer code. In other words, customer information (customer name, contact tel no., etc.) need to manually enter every time when creating one-time customer orders.

Account groups are for Types or categories of customer and use in partner determination also,

at the end of cycle effect is same, e.g.

Customer - Debited

Sales domestic - Credited.

Hi,

Just check the standard one time customer account group.Do one or two transaction in test server by creating a customer in standard account group.

If it suits yr requirement adobt it as it is else change the account group as per requirement.
