Error during intercompany asset transfer for asset acquired current year

Encountered error AA389 "Transaction type not possible (No affiliated company specified)" when trying to do intercompany asset transfer for an asset acquired in the current year. Tcode: ABT1N

Hi,

Check, which Transfer varient you are using whilw doing ABT1N?

Go to that TV config, and check the TTYs assigned to that. (There should be 300 and 310)

Hope you are using TV as 1- Gross Method...check for that.

Managed to solve it by setting the ttype for current year retirement & current year acq to 'Do not post to aff co'.

Hi there,

Yes, my transfer variant is 1 (Gross method).

The TTY for same company is 300/310 whereas the TTY for transfer to different company is 230/153.

In my scenario, the transfer is to different company, therefore I suppose it will base on 230/153.

For your info, it works well when the asset to be transferred was acquired in previous yr. The problem only when asset is acquired in current year.
