Create any password protected attachment and send it via Email

Hi,

I have the requirement to send an email with a password protected attachment. (In the attachment only a few words should be displayed).

I already took a look in the SDN and figured out, that it is not possible with PDF or .xls, also the class CL_ABAP_ZIP doesn´t seem to offer such an option for protection.

Does anybody know any solution for my problem?

Thanks a lot

    Hi,

    some hint:

someday I got a password-protected email from my social security. The attachment (of type PDF) was protected and not the email itself. It is 99% for sure that they did not generate the email from a SAP system, but with any software from Adobe.

Probably you will not get a tool in SAP to generate a password-protected attachment, since the available functions and classes generate a file of OTF-type, which can be read using Adobe Reader, but do not add any additional funcionality. You better have a look at Adobe´s web site and search for an option.

      Hi Jorge Alonso,

      thanks for the hint.

I already knew that it won´t be possible with the PDF, there exists a software from adobe, but this is unfortunatly no option.

      Many thanks for your help,

      Christoph
