Hello experts!

I am trying to configure TMS.

I have 2 servers DEV & PRD, I have make DEV as a Domain Controller & wanted to Add PRD server in Domain.

so I followed

DEVSRV

1. Login with SAP* on 000 client

2. SE06

3. stms

4. Create Domain Controller

PRDSRV

1. Login with SAP* on 000 client

2. SE06

3. stms

4. Add system in DOMAIN_DEV

5. Msg Displayed - SAP System waiting to be included in controlled Domain.

6. Again Login to DEVSRV select PRD in system List & said Approved & said Distribute

but I am getting following error

System DEV Command Start TMS_CI_START_LOCAL_SERV

Client 000 Service Communication Interface

User TMSADM Start Online

Date 13.11.2009 Function TMS_CI_START_LOCAL_SERVICE

Time 10:52:41 Message SYSTEM_ACCESS_DENIED

System PRD cannot execute command

PRD

please anybody help me!

You have a shared directory for \usr\sap\trans? Make sure both systems and users (SAPService<SID>) have permissions to access and write to that directory.

Thanks Markus!

Yes I have a directory for \usr\sap\trans but the "sap" folder is not showing as shared. I am using Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.

but on the other System I am Using Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition.

I think it is problem OS level.

In Enterprise Edition it is showing Sharing option for Folder sharing but it is not in the case of Standard Edition.

So I am not able to share this folder. if there is any way to share folder. please let me know.

Hi,

I believe what Markus is talking about is a shared /usr/sap/trans directory, both servers need to see it.

E.g a mapped drive of your DEV /usr/sap/trans on PRD

Are both servers in a domain? If not then you need to create the users (<SID>adm and SAPService<SID>) on both systems for the other system so the SAP service can access the directory.

The directory is only shared on one server.
