Hi Experts,
I am trying to open an IQS22 transaction iview. I am able see the transaction iview , but when i am selecting any link in the screen it is giving "Error on Page" Error. When I opens the same iview in Mozilla it working fine. Currently I am using IE6 and also tried to open the same page in IE7 , it is giving the same Error on status bar "Error on Page".
Please guide me to resolve this problem
Thanks,
Srinivasu
Hi,
There is a simple way to check whether your System which you are using is working or not..
Folllow these steps
Go to System Admin -> Support -> (Top Level Area)SAP Application -> SAP Transaction ->
Then Choose you System Alias , Give the TCODE, Choose SAP GUI Type as HTML Type..
Then click go and check whether you are able to login to the Backend System or not..
If this works.. Then is no issue with your Portal System, else you have to check the System which you have created for Backend Connectivity.
Check and Let us know the issue..

Hi Baskar,
I followed given steps to check portal. I am able to connect R/3 system and executed iqss22 transaction, it open R/3 without error.
I checked system object, it is working fine. But the problem is when I open ITS application in Portal it is giving following Error
Line: 280
Char:4
Error:'webguiRTL1' is undefined
Code:0
URL:http://itsddgq02.prod.root.local/scripts/wgate/ZPZ02/
Thanks,
Srinivasu.Y
looks like ur port no is wrong...
go to the sap gui and click on the change item for ur r/3 system and determine the message server address. based on what u have mentioned ITS Host Name ; itsddgq02.prod.root.local:80
it should be itsddgq02.prod.root.local double check that.
the port cannot be 80
go to tcode : SMICM and hit shift +f1 and determine the port no for HTTP and that should be 80.. something...insert that as ur port no.
do u have an alias defined ?
what does ur connection test display ?
have u used the SSO WIZARD ? note : 1083421
what does tcode : SSO2 say ?
Hi.
It's definitively a browser security settings problem.
As for IE 6 try the following steps:
1. Add FQDN of portal and backend system both to Local Internet and Trusted Sites security zones. You can use a wildcards as described in SAP Note 785308.
2. In custom settings of both zones search for Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting under ActiveX Controls and Pluggins and change it to Enable.
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
Aliaksandr Zhukau
Hi Srinu,
As Aliaksandr Zhukau suggested, I think it is definetely a browser settings problem. If it is technical problem, it should not work even in Mozilla.
You have displayed you types of messages ,,,in 1) you said object error 2) is different from first...what change you made...
Also I guess for any transactional iview executing it will show some port numeber.....Is it not showing any port number...like 8100 or 50XXX something like that?
Please also compare and paste the URL of Mozilla when it is giving the result and ...URL of IE when it is giving error ...
See any difference is there ?

Srini
Hi Aliaksandr Zhukau,
Some of the ITS applications apart from Transaction iview (IQS22), I am getting Error on page, I tested in other system it all showing the same error, but client not getting the error (not Transaction iview error), as per your suggestion I added portal URL to trusted sites and changed the IE settings to same as MY client IE settings, still I am getting the Error:'webguiRTL1' is undefined for all other ITS application,
Transaction iview error still exist, it is not resolved.
I also agree with you, it is IE setting issue, but I changed many times but it is vain.
Hi Srinivasu.
In case of IE6 adding portal's FQDN only to Trusted Sites sometimes is not enough. As I mentioned previously, try adding to both zones: Local Internet and Trusted Sites.
Then adjust custom settings of both zones:
1.Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting property should be set to Enabled.
2.Access data sources across domain property should be set to Enabled.
Best regards,
Aliaksandr Zhukau
Hi,
RAther than calling portal , try to call ITS service manually.
Let us know the status of ITS service , which will give some idea abt the error.
Thanks
Anil

Hello,
If I am not wrong, there is a yellow triangle (Warning) at the bottom left corner of the browser.
This is called Javascript errors. One of the possible solution is to add the URL (FQDN) to the list of trusted sites in the Internet Options of IE 6/7. Also, reduce the security setting to Medium-Low.
Hope it works

Thanks for your response,
When I login R/3 and enter Transaction code IQS22 , and click on "Display Form". It is going to portal . When i open workitem (iview) in workflow inbox. it is showing IQS22 Screen directly in portal, if I click any button or links on the screen it is showing Error on page with Yellow color.
below is the error I am getting on IE
code:0
Char:1
Error: Object expected
Code:0
URL:http://itsddgq02.prod.root.local/scripts/wgate/webgui4b395340/
The Error is shows ITS path.
If I open the same form in Mozilla it is working fine. Please guide me on this issue.
Thanks,
Srinivasu
Hi,
Are you using Fully qualified domain name while launching the portal. It should be something like
http://hostname.company.com:50000/irj
Cheers!!
