Hi,

I am install ECC 5 in new h/w - Itanium 64 bit server.

When i try to install oracle 9i, i am geting below error. I have

already installed Java and set the envt variables path and JAVA_HOME.

Error details -

The Java RunTime Environment was not found at

C:\DOCUMENT\...\Temp\OraInstall2005-11-04u2026.\jre\bin\javaw.exe. Hence,

the Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run.

Please visit ww.javasoft.com and install JRE version 1.3.1. or higher

and try again.

I have download it from sun java "jre-6u17-windows-ia64.exe " but still the same error.

Please suggest .

Kumar

I don't think that's the answer to Kumers' issue, if you know it then please do give step by step resolution to the problem, if not then, we move on....

Dear Augustine, frankly speaking i dont have that much of time to provide step by step of spoon feeding methods

I am current having the same problem with SAP ECC5.0 installtion on Window Server 2003 and on executing the sapserver.cmd, Oracle Universal Installer prompt with message : The Java RunTime Environment was not found at bin\Javaw.exe. Hence, The Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run.
Please visit http://www.javasoft.com/ and install JRE version 1.3.1 or higer and try again.

Log clearly showing that issue may be with Java version, environment variable or may be user forgot to reboot the server after application installation or may be user is trying from other directory(other than home), i dont have any magic stick/ball to investigate all these things, so just i highlighted the causes

Will appriciate it if anyone has the step by step solution to this problem, will also like to know if kumer has gotten the solution to the problem, if that is the case please do share it with us.

May be someone will give you step by step method to achieve this

Try to search sdn/google for quick response/help
