Configuring Maintainance Optimizer

Hi,

We have just installed Solution Manager 4.0 SL15 successfully.

Now i want to Configuring Maintainance Optimizer from scratch but i don't know the steps or procedure.

can any body help me out to do this.

Actually i had already gone through all off the links you have provided.

But while configuring some tabs are missing in our system.

Step wise document will not be available?

If you have any document can you please provide me?

1. Ensure your Solution manager system is at the most recent Support Package Level, specifically ST 400 Patch 11, to reduce note application time

2. Download from oss most recent step-by-step setup guide

3. Oss note 1024932

1. Call Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG ->SAP Solution Manager -> Advanced Configuration -> Basic Settings -> SAP Solution Manager System -> Change Management -> Set Up Maintenance Optimizer

15. This IMG activity refers to the SAP Note 990534: Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer: BC Set. Follow the instructions in this SAP Note

16. Define a Solution:

1. Solution_Manager u2013 Select Solution Overview u2013 New.

2. Enter Descriptive Name ( Ex. GTS Landscape )

3. Hit Continue

4. Select Solution Landscape Maintenance

5. Select System Groups & Logical Components on the Left hand Side

6. Select Solution Landscapes and pick the one you created

7. Define the solutions for that landscape

8. Highlight each item and click Logical Component (You must have a valid license to set this up)

17. Assign S-User

1. Transaction: AISUSER

2. Enter you user id and your SUSER ID for downloading

18. Create another SAPOSS Connection called SAP-OSS with S-User assigned

19. Call SOLUTION_MANAGER

20. Select Solution Overview

21. Select the solution you want to work with

22. Select u2013 Change Management u2013 Support Package Stacks

23. Click Maintenance Optimizer around middle of screen

24. Select the solution you want to get Spu2019s for

25. Go to OSS and add the files to download basket

26. When done return to screen and hit continue

27. Select - Confirm files in Download Basket

1. Error message comes if your sap user and your oss user are not setup in AISUSER screen

28. Now go to SAP Download Manager ( On your local pc ) and download the files you just confirmed u2013 of course using the same S-User id you just added them to the basket with

29. Apply support packages via spam per normal process

30. Return to the SOLUTION_MANAGER window select the landscape you are working on

31. Hit Maintenance Optimizer List

32. Choose the maintenance transaction you are working on

33. You will see a list of the confirmed and downloaded spu2019s you selected

34. Once you apply these to the system using SPAM you will change the status of implementation to Completed and Hit Save

35. This completes this activity

36. If you wish to do more work you will have to create a new transaction.
