R3trans - *ROLLBACK

Good morning,

Using SPAM we installed KB70019 - this in turn seemed to go into a loop writing out huge journals. We stopped the SPAM as we were on critical disk space. I stopped the QAS system but R3TRANS now indicates a function of * - ROLLBACK and is in that state for more than 2 hours.

Can I stop R3TRANS or will this cause data damage?

Hi Annette,

For the R3trans question I do not know. But however you proceed, make sure you had a look at SAP Note 1366799 before you try again.

I am going to restore. I managed to bypass this problem on my development patching but it got me on QAS. From the note I read that you gave me Thomas I am not prepared to take a ris.

Hello Anette,

unfortunately, you hit an error, that is well-known with SP19 ;-(((

You are now in trouble ... one option would be clrlib & restore - otherwise, you have to delete a lot of other stuff ... you are not able to breack this rollback - even an IPL will not really help ... either it will crash or it will take for 12-32h ....
