Settlement Issue with customer project

Dear friends

I'm doing customer project.

Cost planning is done using network costing. In CJ30 I'm doing budget allocation & Availability control gets activated once budget is allocated. In CJ32 I'm releasing the budget. My budget allocation is 100% of the cost planned & budget released is also 100% of the budget allocated.

All procurement & logistical operations are done. Now my project is in "TECO" state.

I have run RA also.

Now when I run CJ88, I'm getting warning & error, saying the budget is exhausted.

I'm not understanding why this error & warning is coming now? More over I have sufficent budget.

My actual cost is either almost equal to the plan cost or less than the plan cost.

I'm looking forward to your responses.

Thanks

you may check this note as well Note 1162148 - Settlement leads to incorrect error or wrong assigned value

    Try running CJBN before settlement

Also you can exclude the settlement cost element from availability control check in Budget customization

    • For a customer project I would not settle the lower WBS to higher

I will settle only the billing element WBS to PSG

But you are right about exempt settlement cost element - this should be set up if you are settling from CO object to WBS and then to PSG
