want new number range for new inspection type

Hi junta,

I have configured a new inspection type 141 which is the copied one of 14. I have assigned 141 with the lot origin 17 and over there assigned with the new number range. All I did because I want to get a new number range for the inspection type 141 as if I would have assigned the new inspection type with the lot origin 14, i could not have got new number range.

But the problem comes when we run the calibration cycle using the inspection type 141, system is taking the inspection lot origin 14 and thus taking the number range assigned with the lot origin 14, not with 17.

Let me let you here, I am using lot origin 17 as this one has not been used.

Your co-operation is always welcomed.

Dear Partha

I think it is not possible to get a new set of number range for inspection types. niether any exit is available for the same

Also first of all check whether by using inspection type 141 you can generate inspection lot for calibration. how are you assiging this 141 inspection type ?

if this is working then only you have to think about getting the number ranges

Dear Partha

As far as my knowledge goes it is not possible to create calibration lots with inspection type other than 14. If you assign 141 to inspection lot origin to 17 it is not at all going to work as 141 loses its identity completely

You can try assigning INspection 141 to Plant maintainence order PM05 in the config but i doubt whether it will work

Please let me know what is the need of a new number range.

Hi Gajesh,

I have tried a lot to get a new number range. The requirement of new number range is a typical number of client. They want to segregate the inspection using the inspection type 141 with a separate number range. Let me know whether it is really possible to get this new number range.

Hi

In the Plant maintainace order type you have to assign the inspection lot origine 17.It seems that you have assigned inspection lot origin 14 so number range reflect the same.

QCC3->inspect lot creation>define inspection in plant maintainace-->select plant & order type->enter 17 here

Also make sure that you are not using origin 17 anywhere.

Hi Sujit,

But in that node, we need to assign the inspection type, not the lot origin. If I am wrong, correct me.

Hi

Yes

Then assign Inspection type against the PM order number & check

I think it should work
