Enhancing and replacing a custom controller

Hey experts,

I need to substitue a standard custom controller with an enhanced custom controller. BSP app IUICMD. However even after enhancing the custom controller and checking to make sure that the substitution has been made I find on debugging that it still instantiates the original custom controller. The controller is IUICMD/CuCoMD. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong or if I am supposed to maintain the controller substitution anywhere other than view cluster BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT.
