Delta of custom extractor

Former Member

Hello,

I created custom delta enabled extractor based on view. Everyday delta brings more than 1mnl records. Can somedy tell me how to this delta goes to RSA7. Do I need to do something or it goes automatically?

Is it possible to optimize delta of such a big volume?

thanks

if you are creating a generic datasource, Make sure that you select correct Delta specific Name in your generic delta.

and also if you are selecting time stamp, calender day or Numeric pointer make sure you select proper upper and lower safty limit. if you give the lower limit more it has possiblity of piccing more data including yesterday.

and also select new status for changed records.(check box)

save it can replicate the datasource once again and load the data . hope fully you will get data correct

Thanks , I knew all this before.

Can the delta be optimized somehow as its too big? Does this delta go to RSA7 automatically or I need to do something?

Hi,

You need to do Initialization run, then the datasource will come into RSA7, and from RSA7 you can define the datapacket size to optimize the load performance.

You can even define the datapacket size from the infopackage in the BW system.

Hope this helps.

Normally in generic delta data will not be moved to RSA7 physically , but Delta is enabled by data selection logic .

Here is the procedure to extract generic delta through RSA7 .
