KM Search iView with dropdown option to select

Sttings Done: We have integrated various repositories with SAP KM like cFoder,DFS(File Server),DMS,MS SharePoint

Requirement : Develop a KM search iView with standard options + option to select Datasource and Doc. type from drop-down with values

I know that I can achieve this either by developing a new search component from scratch or by developing new search component and integrate the same in search component set.

But I want to know if it is possible by means of configuration like creating custom property and setting some values. As I can set the values cFoder,DFS,DMs,MS SharePoint in each integrated folders custom property value. And TREX can search on custom properties.
