SAP AS java passwords

hi guys,

im trying to work on the SAP AS JAVA for our system which has SAP AS ABAP+JAVA installed.

For the SAP AS ABAP+JAVA, i understand that we have the default administrative user to be j2ee_adminwhile that of SAP AS JAVA has the administrative user of j2ee_admin_<SID>.

im trying to log on to the UME console but after typing the link http://<server>:<port>/useradmin in a web browser, im prompted to login with a user name and password.

Question is which username and password do i use for my system cos i tried j2ee_admin with an OS administrative password with no luck. i want to know if these usernames comes with a default password and what the passwords are.if they dont come with a default password, which passwords should i use?

Regards

Try with the master password entered at the time of instalaltion. This will work if you have not changed since then.

thanks Juan,

my guess is that the datasource should be either the database or ABAP user management. either way im not the one that configured the system so its kind of hard to track down the datasource.

Could u help by telling me how to find out which datasource is been used and which passwords to use for each situation(ABAP user management, database or directory service).

Hi,

You can log on to portal on user admin page then go to Configuration tab and then on ABAP System tab. There you can check which system and client is your UME.

In ABAP+Java system, by default client 001 is UME for AS Java if you have not changed it.

And j2ee_Admin users does not have any default password (J2ee_Admin user password you have specified at time of installation and might be you have changed it later on). If you don't have any user password to login to portal then you can activate emergency user sap*.

Thanks

Sunny
