Hi
What is the difference between like profile and like modelling...
Regards
RK
Hi Rakesh,
A like profile allows you to create the demand forecast of a product using
the historical input data of a product or products whose demand behavior
is the same or similar. Create like profiles for products with short lifecycles
or for products with insufficient historical data. You can use the same like
profile for multiple products
Like modeling uses the historical data from one or more characteristic value
combinations to create a forecast for another characteristic value combination.
Like profile contains the characteristics with values assigned in reference to
the similar characteristics.
whereas like modelling is a forecasting modelling approach which uses the
like profile during planning of forecast.
