Dear Expert,

I have a debt of vendor A $10 at 21Apr with exchange rate 9000 ($10x9000). According to Standard Accounting Indonesia; at the end of year, the debt of vendor A $10 must use exchange rate 31 Des, 9100 ($10x9100). So if there's any payment on that debt, the debt ($10) use exchange rate 9100. What should I do to make this happen in SAP? How I set it in foreign currency config? Please help me!!!

Thx

Fenny

Hi,

Our company use ECC 5.0 and we use T.Code FAGL_FC_VAL. I've run the steps you recommend wrote from scratch, the problem is at the end of the year we're not doing reverse at the beginning of the journal next year, so there is value from bal account. sheet adj (TC.OB09). Bal account balance. adj sheet is supposed to move (increases or decreases) in accordance with the repayment. (specific for the open debt from last year). how to make a bale. sheet adj (TC.OB09) is moving in accordance with the repayment? But thanks for your reply.

Hi

There is a Tcode for period end foreign currency valuation. If you are on Ecc6.0 its: FAGL_FC_VAL

If older version: Its: F.05.

For this there is configuration: SPRO --> Financial Accounting (New) --> General Ledger Accounting (New) --> Periodic Processing --> Valuate.

The above path is told with respect to Ecc6.0

Also you need to define GL accounts in OB09 & maintain rates in OB08

Hi,

As per your details,

1st Entry: $10 * 9000 = 90000 in Indonesian currency.

2nd Entry: $10 * 9100 = 91000 in Indonesian currency.

Before entry of 1st record, you have to update Forex Rate in T Code: OB08 with rate 9000

and in the same way before entry of 2nd record, you have to update Forex Rate in T Code: OB08 with rate 9100 or else you have to update T Code: OB08 screen when ever the rate is changed.

At the time of posting of any entry in foreign currency then system will check the forex rate in the table CURR (T Code: OB08)

Thanks

Chandra
