In Stock Transport Requisition, determination of Supplying Plant via Availability Check

I have a plant A requesting material with a Stock Transport Requisition.

Two other plants (B and C) can provide the material.

I have maintained a Source List (ME01) with both Supplying Plants.

I need the system to determine the Supplying Plant according to

Availability Check

This is supposed to be achieved with the Following IMG activity:
  • SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
  • Materials Management
  • Purchasing
  • Source Determination
  • Set Up Determination of Supplying Plant via Availability Check

It is supposed to work even without APO (only with AFSD = 2 "AFSD with existing sources").

However, I'm not able to make it work. In ME51N, when I trigger a source determination, I get the 2 supplying plants I maintained in ME01, and nothing more…

The system is not able to choose one or another, according to ATP.

Was anybody else more successful ?

Hello Diana,

Thanks for your answer

For "AFSD in the case of existing sources", the documentation says :

"If the standard system finds valid sources of supply in the course of a source determination process, an availability check is carried out in respect of any supplying plants found."

This availability check doesn't happen in my case.

So I do not understand how this functionality is supposed to work when no APO is used, although the documentation says "

Even if you do not have an APO system connected, you can still carry out an availability check in the standard system.

The document of the configuration mentions that if "AFSD in the case of existing sources" is set, the standard system finds valid sources of supply in the course of a source determination process, an availability check is carried out in respect of any supplying plants found. If there is no APO relevance, then there is no additional source determinition based on the ATP result.

But "If an APO system is connected to the standard system, an additional source determination process can be carried out there. If supplying plants are found as potential sources there, the APO system carries out an availability check, the results of which are returned to the standard system."

Best regards,

Diana
