Multiple counter Plan

Dear All

My requirement is as follows.

I want to do maintenance of Vehicle after completion of each trip or daily. For that i am using multiple counterplan. The steps followed are as follows.

1. Created No._OFF_Trip as as counter with annual estimation is 2000 & COunter overflow is 9999.

2. Posted a initial meas. doc. for counter with reading zero.

3. Preaper plan with cycle as below.

a. 1 - Unit of Meas. EA for every trip - Counter number 1772 - For every trip.

b. 1 - Day

While saving the plan i am getting an information message " Daily performance of counter 11772 is bigger than the corresponding cycle."

Whether i am following the correct steps? or Where should i wrong ?

Not yet. The exact requirement is not met. Any way tell me one thing, how you are calculating production losses in components or in %. My requirement is to highlight breakdown impact on Production value and Standard Hours Lost.

I think as you are using the smallest unit i.e. "days" in time based cycle and your consumption is coming more than 5 for each day based on your annual estimate that is why system must be giving this error.

In the scenario you have defined, your maintenance will be due daily as system cannot consider "hours" to create a maintenance object for your call, in the case more than 5 trips are estimated per day.

I would suggest you to reduce the estimated trip to one each day i.e. 365 as total and then see.

i think it is an information about the cycle length .Check with scheduling whether the dates are planned .Also input some measurement reading say 2 or 3 and then check

When i tried to schedule the plan, i got the following message.

Maint.Plan 315: Daily performance of counter 11772 is bigger than the cycle.

& Above message was an error message.

In standard you can have cycle length in the multiple of 1 day ,since your annual performance is 2000 which is 5.48 activity/day .you cannot able to schedule.

Make the cycle lenght as 6EA and then check

Put ur annual estimation for counter 1772 less tahn 365 (safer side put it @100,200) , I guess ur problem shd get solved.

But Fleet object is an air craft which is used for training purpose. It can have more than 1 take off & landing per day. So my annual estimation may be higher than 365 take offs.

I want to do few L1 maintenance for each air craft after every take off is completed or if i do not use that air craft for take off & landing then i will do the same activity per day. Then How should i manage this using multiple counter plan in SAP PM module?

Hi Makrand,

Still u dont have to bother about daily flight or take off. For Multiple counter plan u maintain only one counter that is conting the take offs and another counter is time i.e. 1 day.

In that case you have 2 counters 1) no of flights 2) No of days(Time).

U just keep annual estimation abt 200 and create a multiple counter plan. That should work.
