Update Cancelled. - SM13

Hi Gurus, One of the production System in our enviroment, the update keep failing. I'm using Windows server 2003 with ECC 5.0 system. The database will be DB6. The update system in SM13 diactivated by it self several time today. But i manage to activated it again. There is also Abap Dump in st22 t-code which related to Runtime Error DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

Except. CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB.

I also have checked in DB02 regards the tablespaces. There are some tablespaces are full. I've listed down the tablespaces below.

PRD#PROTI DMS 100.00 229,376 0 4,096 57,312 2 Any data Normal

PSAPTEMP SMS 100.00 4 0 4,096 0 1 Temporary data Normal

PSAPTEMP16 SMS 100.00 16 0 16,384 0 1 Temporary data Normal

I dont know the diffrent between these tablespaces and i dont know how to add the tablespaces in DB6.Is that this could case the update problem.Can someone guide me to solve this problem please. Thank you in advance for the help.

Hello Roshan!

The most common source of this problem "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" are network resources failure, specially on the windows server due to vulnerable activate.

I had the same issues on my server but with the SQL Server 2005. We went through the many SAP Notes but did not come out of the problem. We had many dumps of this problem and udpate were failed. Also, Transport and RFC system failed.

We had noticed that there are some services are failed even restarting system, we found the MS-Hotfix of this problem to resolve the services failure.

Please go through the below hotfix to come out of this strange problem.

Hi Roshan,

Might be problem with tablespace. Please try to clear the temp tablespace.

other wise the following facts will cause the update process.

Check whether any deadlocks happening in your system.

also please check the following link and notes.

I hope this will help you. still you have the issue than post the detailed error.
