Service short text maintained for vendor language

Dear Experts,

I'm trying to set a message when creating a purchase order for services, like the message ME095 - "No short text maintained in language & (please re-maintain material &)" that exists for materials.

The main idea is to present a message when creating a PO service item with no short text maintained in the vendor language.

I've tried to use message SE700 - "Service type & & does not exist in language &", but I wasn't successful.

Any ideas about this?

Thanks.

Pedro

    Hi,

Short texts of service masters can be created in different languages.

Depending on in which language the user logs on, the system displays the

short text in the corresponding language (if maintained).

For short texts of services in model service specifications this is not

possible. Here the respective tables do not contain any language code -

the short text can in each case only be maintained in a language that is

displayed separately from the logon language.

The error message SE700 is connected to Standard Service Catalogs only, it does not check service masters in general!

    Regards,

      Dear experts,

My mistake, because in fact my question if for service master long text.

The request that I have is that a PO for a service whose long text is not maintained in the PO vendor language, can not be created. Is there any standard validation to ensure this, or my best option is through exit or badi?

      Thanks.
