Transport in BI - PRD System

Hi Experts,

Can you please get some attention from your valuable time...

I having problem Transport from QA to PRD Server....

In BI 7.0 NW2004s under OS windows 2003 server, Oracle 10g, I created one Project all objects are activated and running fine in DEV system...

1. I goto RSA1 (Transport connection - TAB), move all Info Objects, DataStore Objects, Transformation, Info Source, Data Source, Info packages, Process chain, Data Transfer process, and Open Hub...

2. Create under one Package (Transport for example BVD-900100)

3. Goto SE10 and Released it (In dev)

4. Goto QA system and Import same Transport (0 errors and move sucessfully)

5. check RSA1 in QA system works, fine everying is moved

6. Goto PRD system and moved same Transport from QA with (0 errors sucessfully)

7. Goto RSA1 in PRD but Data-Source is not activated, also doesn't show Open-Hub as well in PRD system

8. check Transport Routs thats look fine... no erros

My question is that why in PRD system some object and open hub is missing... is like that even it running fine in QA system... I just normal transport from QA to PRD...

Hi,

So according to your message, there is no issue with technical settings. Please try with this,

1. Check the PRD version mamagement, whether its same as it is in QAS and DEV.-- For your particular TR.

2. Check the TR log.some times some object would not been imported properly.in this case you would not get the error.

3.Try to reimport the TR again with overwrite original option.

Thank you very much for reply, about SAP version, all system are same even patch level + kernal are same... other BI reports transport has been sucefully moved. but only OPEN-HUB Transport doesn't show in PRD system same process I apply in QA, thats works fine... sound pretty strange...

ok let me figure-it-out some more Doc. or any clue...

if you have some more info. please let me know

Hi,

I not telling about SAP version. It was sap object change version abailable in the system for that perticular TR or change. and check the TR log (se03->find request->copy ur Tr ->unclear all test field ->in below select all check box->excute -> expand the TR log and in PRD -->more expand and here it'll show the actual missing.)

its ok. let me tell you some more points on this.

1. Try to re import the TR into PRD system again.

2. still problem there, than check the TR log and it'll show that any report or object or any dependency report not included with your current TR.

3. you are saying that data source is not activated in PRD. so what you can do is again u can activate and do the new transport from DEV ->QAS -> PRD. while doing PRD import try with the option "Overwrite originals".
