Dear Team,
I have a requirement where my client wants to have multilevel material group. Eg.
1. Tyres
1.1 Passenger Car Tyre
1.1.1 Sports utility Vehicle Tyre
1.1.1.1 High Performance Tyre
1.1.1.1.1 Actual Material
They wanted to see the reports like Purchase, Sales & Stock at any levels. How to achieve this scenario. If I use Material Classification and assign all the levels as a Characteristics, is there any reports shows the characteristics wise Purchase, Sales & Stock.
Please advise.
Regards,
Suresh
Dear All,
I think still you guys have not understood my requirement.
I need to classify/group my material at multilevel.
For example:
Tyre is at high level and under Tyre Passenger Car Tyre has to grouped and under Passenger Car Tyre, SUV tyre has to be grouped and under SUV, High performance tyre has to be grouped and under High Performance tyre the actual material code will come.
Here I can create Characteristics for the levels and attach as material class in the material master. The problem is whether Can I have any standard report showing characteristics wise Purchase and Sales.
Regards,
Suresh

Dear,
Material Group MATKL has length of 9 Characters...
SO you can maintain your codes till 9 digits:
As per your e.g.
Maintain as below:
1. Tyres
1.1 Passenger Car Tyre
1.1.1 Sports utility Vehicle Tyre
1.1.1.1 High Performance Tyre
1.1.1.1.1 Actual Material
Still if you have seggregation of material groups more than 9 digits, then in that case it is not possible by standard means.
Go for ABAP development.
