Material Availability date differs in R/3 & APO

Hi,

We are facing Issue with Material Avaialbility date for Planner order/Manufacturing Order in R/3 and APO.

We are using a Master Recipe for PDS Creation in APO which consists on 9-10 different operations, out of which only inbetween operation 4-5-6 is scheduled in APO.

So in APO Other Operations are not availble in PDS and hence not considered for scheduling as required. Also GR Processing Time is maintained on Product Master for which infinite Capcity Handling resource in created in APO.

When we schedule Operations in APO, the Scheduled dates for Operation 4-5-6 is sent back to R/3 and for other Operations based on relationship maintained takes addistional 1-2 Days.

In R/3 Availability Date for Planner Order/Manufacturing Order is calculating by adding a GR time after Operation 10 end time, while in APO as ony operation 4-5-6 is available a GR time is added after Operation 6, which is resulting in Differnet availability date for Order in R/3 and APO.

Kindly suggets a way to same date in R/3 and APO, if anyone has faced same Issue.

Thanks for your Help !!!

    Hi Pankaj,

Please work out on the following aspects

    1) Check the logic that the Order finish date is based on only Availability date and GR time

    2) Check the calendar is maintained in sync at both R/3 and in APO

    3) Look at the sap notes 423626, 394113

    4) Look at your setting under t-code /SAPAPO/CP3 for inhouse production orders as

    Always retransfer

      Hi Senthil,

based on your information i checked parameters,

      - Calander is consistent in APO and R/3

      - /SAPAPO/CP3 - Alway Retransfer

Basic Problem is GR time, as GR time added in APO after Operation 50, while in R/3 GR time added after Operation 70 and thus it gives out different dates in R/3 and APO.

Any more inputs are welcome !!!

    Hi pankaj,

In standards, the availability date does not include the

GR processing time and hence this difference always

be there in R/3 and in APO

Try applying custom logic with the formula

Actual Order finish date = Availability Date - GR Processing Time

Here you need to export GR processing time in the

    function module TSTR_CALC_TIM

      Hi Senthil,

I completly understand, that APO Material Availability date is GR end Date while in R/3 its a Process Order end date.

      But Problem is not that.

Problem is not all operation of Process order are in APO, so assume u have 5 operations in Process order out of which only first 3 are relevant for schedulilng in APO. So APO schedules these 3 Operation and adds the GR time to Show the avaiablity date.

While in R/3 GR Time is added after end of Operation 5 which is right, so GR end date in R/3 and APO dont match.

Let me know if you think some more on this...!!!

      Thanks and Appreciated !!!

    Hi Pankaj,

I'm sorry to trouble you, but I also have the same problem. Could you resolved that?

I debugged the program and I saw that to the first item use to calculate the date is the function 'APO_SCHEDULING', and to the rest item use 'SD_SCHEDULING', and until here I come. Is this wrong?

According to the functional, the configuration ATP y GATP is correct.

I also looked at it's using also two "factory calendar" which are "J4" and "C2". Is it correct?

    Thanks in advanced 😊

    Best Regards,

    • Hello Daniel,

If the first item is doing the scheduling using APO_SCHEDULING and rest of them are using SD_SCHEDULING, the issue could be due to the fact that the rest of the items are not gATP relevant.

What I suggest is - go the transaction code CFM5; enter the mateiral, plant and select "ATP Check" check box in the left side and execute the transaction. You would be taken to a different screen and click on "Models" and see if there is any model that is active. If yes, then I think the issue the something else. If none of them are active, then I think you just have to make them gATP relevant.

      Thank you
