Freestyle IoT App with IoT Control Event List empty

Dear all,

I've deployed a Freestyle IoT App with Thing List, Sensor Chart, Analytical Chart and Event List but after running the app no events are shown in Event List even though some temperature's values

broke the thresholds (see screen-shot n.1).

The configuration of Event List seems correct: I've set the Thing ID to the value of the digital twin configured in SAP IoT AE (see screen-shot n.2).

Please let me know how to fix this problem.

Thank you.

Best regards.

Luigi Alboino

Hi Marcus,

thank you for your response.

I'm trying to create an event by sending a message POST through POSTMAN but the server answer with 403 Forbidden.

I've set Authorization to Basic Auth specifying the credentials used to connect my SAP IoT AE's instance of Exprivia.

Username=sergio.branca@exprivia.it

Password=*******

Please let me know where I'm wrong.

Thank you.

Bye Luigi

If you search google for "event threshold iot application enablement" you will find this answer https://answers.sap.com/questions/463482/is-there-any-provision-in-iot-ae-to-trigger-events.html which points to another earlier post were in the comments you will learn, that events are not created automatically but have to be created explicitly for threshold violations.

Hi Marcus.I've been able to send events through POSTMAN service to the configured thing and now they are visible in Event List (see screen-shot). Thank you. Best Regards. Luigi Alboino
