Best books or tutorial for a Beginner to learn ABAP completely.

Hi

I am a beginner to ABAP, I started with a book called Complete ABAP, by Kiran Bandari and also taking online classes from a tutor.

My tutor and the book both doesn't teach about working with more than 2 internal tables using Joins and OO concepts also barely touched. As I am new I don't know what else is missing.

Please suggest any other books or Tutorials, which cover most of the currently relevent and important ABAP concepts.

Thanks

Well... There are so many including an ABAP Objects book.

What are you looking for? Just ABAP Objects? CDS? AMDP? Other software such as SAPGUI5?

It's hard to suggest just one book. Your knowledge will develop over time... For objects - I believe this series is still relevant.

Go from 1 - 5... They are pretty easy to follow. Are you learning on an SAP system? What version?

open.sap.com is really great - read the course titles. And of course there isn't anything that is better than an ABAP course.

Hi

Thank you for the quick reply, and the link to tutorial.

I am new to SAP, and started learning ABAP about a month ago.

I want to learn most of the ABAP to get a job as ABAP consultant.

As I am new I don't have much idea, and looking to get a solid grip on ABAP programming concepts being used for development.

I am learning on SAP GUI 740 version, also installed SAP Netweaver Developer's edition for offline.

I checked Open SAP courses, there doesn't seem to be any programming courses of ABAP.

I am thinking of buying ABAP to the Future by Paul Hardy and OOP with ABAP Objects by James Wood.

Thanks

Those are both very good books. Do look at the unit test in the open sap courses. That should help too.

Thank you for the suggestion, enrolled for Unit testing course in OpenSAP.

Are these books ( ABAP to the Future by Paul Hardy and OOP with ABAP Objects by James Wood) relevant now, since they were published in 2015 and 2016.
