New tool with data from SAP CRM and D&B

Hello Gurus,

We have a requirement to create a new tool where we need to download BP Master data from CRM and some data from D&B site. After we download the data the business should be able change some of the BP Master data and exchange the changed fields back to CRM.

The tool should be able to store the BP data from CRM & D&B and will allow users to edit some data and exchange the same data to SAP CRM.

On your experiences can you please suggest which software to use to build that tool or interface for example Java etc.

thanks,

Kitcha

    Hi Kitcha,

To Exchange Data between a SAP System and any other System ( either SAP or Non-SAP System ) you can use the SAP XI. It is a part of the SAP NetWeaver Platform and can be used to develop applications to facilitate data exchange. Also, it will take care of the Data Validation in the SAP System which I feel is very important aspect. Have a look at the following link for having a feel of it

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

As for the tooling part, you can use any good UI Technology like ( Java, ASP.NET, etc) which will be easy to use and robust. As with the data exchange you can use the open standard interface so that your tool can interact with any System and not only SAP.

I hope this will help you. And this is my view of the High Level Architecture which I feel can be easy to develop and will also be convenient to consume. Also, we can use the CRM Middleware to transfer the Data Exchange with MDM Systems.

    Thanks,

    Samantak.
