I am now trying to create a certain calculation logic in SAP Analytics Cloud using a planning model to design certain flow for "investments and further depreciation that will later be taken and became part of the "balance sheet account"
Story should look like following:
1. We have table for investments where users can differ their amounts of investments (per year and per product)
2. Based on values for various investments we calculate the next measure - deprecation which should calculate that each investment should depreciate (let's say over period of 7 years to 0)
3. We put these values to be part of balance sheet, so changing a value in investment has direct effect on values that are in balance sheet.
I have not really found any good example of how this could be done yet. So far my idea is either to do pretty much a hard-coded inflexible solution within formula (but that I do not like very much) or investigate the "Data Action ADvanced Formulas" and simply try to make it always reliable on "button" which will recalculate.
What would be the approach you would recommend me to choose? Perhaps do you have some experience without similar design that you would be up for sharing?
best,
Vlastimil
Hi Kosik,
You are right that you need to write Advanced formulas in Data Actions. Please check the below example which may help you.
