Host issue within setup PI and ECC

Hello Everyone,

I am working on setup PI and ECC system, below are my steps:

1. rz70 -> enter parameters of PI system

2. Create SAP_PROXY_ESR and INTEGRATION_SERVER_QAS

But facing a problem as below: (Category : Unknow Host) I have check SAP note 1727745 and related blogs.. But the problem remains unresolved.

Anybody have that experience for solve this issue?

Please provide more information about host of ECC and PI.

NIEHOST_UNKNOWN means that the hostname you try to reach is not known. It's not really an SAP issue - most probably the local DNS servers are not updated correctly.

Please try to connect to the target host on OS level using ping or telnet. Or try to type IP address instead of a hostname (not recommended, use it for test only). Once the connectivity is established on operating system level you can start the SAP configuration.

Option 1:

My colleague help me to config SAP Host file, because ECC system cannot resolve hostname of PI.

Option 2:

We can use win+R -> cmd -> ping PI Host Name -> Get PI hostname as number, example pi.host.name -> 123.123.123,

then use number hostname in RZ70 and execute successfully.
