Dear Team,
I need to build an interface between 3rd party Time Reporting tool into CATS.
What would be the best practice to do so?
Is there any standard CATS iDoc that can be used in SAP to post CATS documents?
Thank you!
Hi,
In a project I was a part of, we built an interface like you have decribed - bringing the time entries from a 3rd party time system that works similar to CATS into CATs and we did it via iDOC, so I believe (as a functional consultant) the answer to your question is yes, it is possible to do this via standard iDOC, unfortunately I am not able to provide you any more technical details. I suggest you can approach an ABAP consultant you are working with to find the appropriate iDOC type for it.
Best of luck.

Hi Peter,
Could you please let me know what approach you went ahead with, for the Interface?
If yo had used the iDoc, then did you ever find what the difference between CATS_INSERT02 and CATS_INSERT01 was?
We are implementing a 3rd party Time capture System, and are in the process of analyzing the different ways of bringing the data into CATS.
I would appreciate if you can please give your inputs.
Regards,
Suresh
