How to see operations get complete

Ok, is this the only way to see that work order operation complete ?

Example :

Work order #

Operation

0010-completed

0020-completed

0030-need to schedule

SAP is set up to add as many operations you want but is there away to complete that operation after the work is done? I been told the work orders stay open to cover material / labor cost and the work order might be open for awhile .

I like to see that operation can be deleted once it is done . Why have the back log full of complete operations .

If you can add as many operations for one work order why does it freeze me from deleting it. ?

It is a bit hard to distill what you actually need :

  • Do you want to SEE the Completed Operations or LEAVE them out of your View?
  • Do you want to filter them out of your General, Individual Order-Display? Or in List-Reports?

You can differentiate the Completed Operations in the OrderOperation-Lists such as Transaction "IW49N" by setting restrictions in the "Operations-Tab" or the "Dates-Tab" to either ONLY SHOW or FILTER OUT your Completed Operations ...
You could experiment by including or excluding System-Statusses or set an Actual Finish Date ...

If you are interested in more information of the Completed Operations, I assume you can view the (Time-)Confirmations of the Completed Operations as a List in Transaction "IW47" ...

At an Individual Order-level (Transaction "IW33") I don't think it is possible to avoid the Display of Completed Operations. Frankly, I don't see why you would want to ...?

Further it makes sence that SAP will not allow you to set a Deletion Indicator on an Operation for which Work / Labour-Time / etc. has been registered.

So if you are talking about List-Reports, there are ways to Limit / Filter your Completed Operations (by using System-Status or Completion Dates or ...)?
