BEx Analyzer - Users Refresh Query and No Applicable Data Found

Hi,

Does anybody can help with the following problem?

I have a customized query assigned to a specific cube and there was no problems until now, but recently, when I have done a simple refresh to this query, the result was the message 'No Applicable Data Found'.

All my collegues that use their customized querys assigned to this cube are getting the same result.

However, If I use a query from scratch, which is assiged to this specific cube, the query just works. Then I customize it and it also works well.

I am just a SAP user, so very technical words I might not be familiar.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Joao,

what do you mean by customized query? What is the customization?

Can you add a description and/or screenshots of both cases: the bad (existing cutomized query) and the good (newly created customized query) for understanding your question?

Thanks and regards,

Hi Nora. Thanks for the answer.

To start a new query, in excel I go to the bex analyzer tool box to open a new query. After this, it asks for a first data refresh and then I 'customize' the query. What I mean by customized query it is when I select the filters and change the layout of the data table (figures in columns or rows, for instance) that a query from scratch gives me. Then I save this file on my PC and afterwards just need to open it and refresh, across time, in order to update data.

Let's put my problem in this way:

- Bad querys - querys that were customized/layout designed before a specific day, when refreshed it says 'No Applicable Data Found' or there is a new thing that is it keeps the table layout but with empty data numbers. All users that have their querys saved on their PC have this problem.

- Good querys - starting off with a new query, by opening it in the bex analyzer tool box, and I replicate the filters and the table data layout of the 'bad' ones. In this case I get figures and data numbers. It is interesting that if I save it on my pc, this new query keeps working well.

In the the last couple of days, I found out that the selected key figures of the 'bad' querys just disappear when there is a refresh... that's why after refreshing it I get no data! However, I select the key figures (again) and the query works well again, even in the following refreshes!! For me this is so wired... I believe there is a specific point of time that what I call 'customized' querys created before it, don't work on their first refresh after this time. To overcome this trouble we will have to select once again the keyfigures of all querys that we have customized so far, from all users of the company I work for, which is very inconvenient.

I ask if it could exist something wrong here and if you can help me with a simpler solution.

Many thanks,

Joao
